September

My dad took Carter on a lawn mowing ride and he loved it. He had his arms up in the air the whole time like it was a roller coaster.
Carter's new favorite toy is his walker. He can't quite get enough of it. He stomps his little feet to make it go and it's never at some leisurely pace - it's always full speed. He has now discovered how much he likes tipping over our garbage can and playing with the toilet (yuck - why does it have to be the perfect height?)

We put Carter to sleep at my mom's and as you can see Brock made a circle barrier of pillows around him. Well when we were done watching our movie, Carter was still asleep but had rolled/crawled into the top corner of the picture with his head almost resting on the vent.

Carter has a new friend. He comes to our house every day and plays with Carter while I'm getting ready. They have so much fun laughing and smiling and are always excited to see each other.

Giving kisses to his friend in the mirror For my birthday we went up to Logan see a football game. Carter really liked the game and made friends with everyone around us. A little after half way through the game he conked out, he was so exhausted.

Carter can now hold his bottle!!! He really likes doing this on his own and will be frustrated if you try to help too much. He squirts himself regularly and now seems to always have milk or apple juice crusties on his face.

He has officially taken a handful of step-crawls. He is so close. It's usually when he's not trying too hard to impress us that he actually does it, I guess we just put on too much pressure.

Brock and Carter are the best of buddies. When Brock gets home from work, Carter gets so excited.
Taking a nap on Grandpa BarlowCarter LOVES eating paper towels. He reminds me of a little puppy dog how he'll chew on them and keep them in his mouth until you pull them away. If he could growl when we take them from him, I'm sure he would.

Every labor day we take a trip down to St George as our last farewell to summer. We've gone down every year since we were married, however, to mix things up this year we decided to go to Bryce Canyon instead of hiking the narrows. This, we figured, would be a little easier with a baby.

I had never been to Bryce before but it was well worth the extra drive. It's so pretty and the hikes are really fun.

Carter was so tired. He has a big pool of drool that is about to fall off his lips.

On the drive home from St. George. I'm not so sure he likes this.
